Declared Candidates

Below we list the declared Presidential candidates and Florida candidates running under the Libertarian Party banner. The Presidential candidates will have to make their case as to why the delegates of the Libertarian Party should pick them over the others. The delegates will choose the party's nominee at the National Convention which is scheduled for May 4^th-6^th2012.

R. Lee Wrights US Air force sergeant and former Vice-Chair of the Libertarian National Committee R. Lee Wrights believes that Liberty, peace and prosperity should form the cornerstone of American foreign policy. That immigration reform is needed to allow hardworking immigrants to legally enter the country as jobs for them grow. Website

Roger Gary A lifetime member and former Chair of the Libertarian Party of Texas Roger Gary stance on issues fall in line with the libertarian Party Platform of social freedoms, non-intervention foreign policy and a reduced Federal Government. Website

Gary Johnson Former New Mexico Governor and businessman, Gary Johnson, believes in maintaining a strong national defense without sacrificing America’s values. He advocates serious cuts in the federal government’s spending to restore our economy, and he also advocates repealing the Patriot Act. Website

 Bill Still  Former newspaper editor and publisher, and best-selling author, Bill Still, adamantly believes in the deconsolidation of power at every level of government. Bill Still advocates border control, his own special twist on a free market society, and abolishing the income tax. Website

Leroy Saunders   Entrepreneur Saunders is running on reducing the size of government to stimulate the economy, become energy independent and stabilize the housing market. Website  

Florida Candidates

 Peter D. Richter  IT Consultant Peter Richter is running for Florida State House of representative in District #76. Richter supports free markets, real free trade, ending corporate welfare, promoting private charities and the support of separating marriage and government. Website

Jonathan Loesche  Florida State University graduate Jonathan Loesche from Jacksonville is registered Libertarian is a columnist running for Florida State House of representative in District #14. His website is under development and will be up shortly. Website

Calen Fretts  Calen Fretts is a Virginia Tech graduate and entrepreneur who is running for 2012 U.S. House of Representatives in Florida, District 01. Fretts believes in radically less government, free markets, and individual rights. Website
