  Ken is a retired US Army Chief Warrant Officer, a retired local law enforcement officer and an Adjunct Professor for St Leo University. Ken is an officer in a Masonic Lodge, the out-going president of the Florida CIDAA Group, and on the board of directors of the national CID Agents Association. He is also a member of the FOP, LEAP (Law Enforcement Officers Against Prohibition), PBA, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Florida State Division of the International Association for Identification. Ken was born in Missouri and has resided in Hillsborough County since 1989. He has two children, a son who is an Army Sgt, who has completed tours in Iraq and Kuwait, and a daughter, who resides in Nebraska.

Appointed Positions

  The Director of Public Relations is in charge of managing the LPHC's public relations campaign. They are in charge of maintaining media contacts, issuing press releases on LPHC positions, arranging interviews with local media and getting the word out to the voting public about the LPHC.
• Director of Membership membership at hillsboroughlibertarians.org
  The Director of Membership works to attract new members into the LP. They work closely with the Vice Chair, Directors of Public Relations and Outreach to attract members and volunteers. They work with the Chair to set membership goals for the LPHC. They work with the Secretary and Database Manager to use State and National party lists and voter registration roles to recruit new members.

  The Director of Issues Development identifies local issues of libertarian interest that the LPHC can take a position on. The director presents ideas to the Executive Committee for consideration and works with the Chair and Director of Public Relations to develop a press release. The director also works with the Director of Public Relations to try and arrange media interviews about the position.

  The Director of Fundraising sets annual and monthly goals for fundraising. They work with the Secretary and Director of Membership to coordinate solicitations from existing members. They work with the Director of Public Relations and Director of Events to identify other opportunities for fundraising. They work with candidates during elections to create opportunities for joint fundraising.

  The director of Outreach is charged with attracting more people to the ideals of libertarianism and libertarian philosophy. They work with the Directors of Public Relations, Membership and Issues Development to reach out to people who don't identify themselves as Libertarians but have libertarian leaning philosophies.

  The director of Youth Outreach works closely with the Director of Outreach but focus solely on High School and College Students. They create goals and a solid plan to achieve those goals. They work with the Director of Events to identify and attend events such as rock concerts or college events that may attract politically conscious youth. They act as liason to any liberty minded student organizations.

  The director of Online Promotions makes sure online calendars, message boards and linking websites have the most up to date information about the events and happenings of the Party.
• Director of Events events at hillsboroughlibertarians.org
  The Director of Events identifies events that can be used by members of the LPHC for issues of outreach and membership growth. They keep a calendar and present possible events to the party for consideration. They solicit volunteers to work the event. The Director of Events also coordinates with the Social Sponsor to insure a good social each month.
• Watchdogs
  The watchdogs monitor the activities of government bodies and report back to the LPHC about their activities. They work with the Director of Issues development to identify issues before these bodies and identify ways the LPHC can present its position.

  The webmaster maintains the website. They work closely with the Director of Public Relations to put press releases, announcements, notice of events and other current information on the website.
• Database Manager
  The database manager creates, maintains and presents information and statistics on Libertarian Party members, Register Libertarians, LPHC contributors and contributing members, guests and voters. They work with the Directors of Outreach, Membership, Fundraising and Public Relations to extract mailing lists or other information needed by these directors.
• Liasons
  County liaisons attend the affiliate meetings at the other counties and report back on their activity. They act as a relay point and invite members of those affiliates to attend our meetings.

• Political Office Managers
  Political Office Managers watch the current office holders and their votes on various pieces of legislations They work with the Director of Public Relations and Issues Development to bring important issues to the attention of the LPHC and direct action on those issues. They develop resources to help candidates monitor political offices.

• Media Watcher
  Media Watchers read the specific media and identify mentions of the party and editorials of interest. They also read the letters to the editor and identify letter writers who espouse a libertarian bent. Attempts should be made in coordination with the Director of Outreach and/or Membership to contact letter writers and invite them to join the LP or attend our events.

  Precinct coordinators are charged with knowing the Libertarians or independent libertarian minded voters in their precinct, working with the Director of Membership to get new members from their precinct, promoting the LP by posting signs and working their polls on election day in support of LP candidates.
