In Memoriam: Lee Ira Korotzer
January 31, 1960 - June 1, 2025
It is with a heavy heart that the LPF announces the passing of our Brother in Liberty, Lee Korotzer, who died peacefully at home in Ocala, FL, on June 1, 2025. Lee fought valiantly through numerous health challenges, but always remained committed to the cause of liberty up until his final days. Most recently, Lee served as a Delegate-at-Large for the LPF, a role he held until his health began to fail him earlier this year. Lee also volunteered for the Mike ter Maat 2024 presidential and vice presidential campaigns.
Lee’s dedication to the Libertarian Party was unmatched. He was deeply involved with both LPF and LP Broward, and his institutional knowledge was second to none. His knowledge, hard work, and fierce loyalty to the cause and the people he worked with will be sorely missed.
A proud New Yorker, Lee was especially fond of his Bronx roots, and he carried that same pride and determination throughout his life and in his fight for Liberty. Lee was never one to shy away from a challenge, and he always offered his help when needed, regardless of his health struggles.
In addition to his work with the Libertarian Party, Lee was a longstanding member of the Lions Club for 23 years, and he actively contributed to the National Scleroderma Foundation. He was also an avid railfan and a dedicated husband of 22 years. Lee’s commitment to his community was unwavering, and he was always there to lend a hand, whether through his professional work or his volunteer efforts. Lee’s legacy as a mentor, campaign leader, and friend will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His voice of reason and his steadfast advocacy for Liberty will be missed by many, especially in Broward and Ocala.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Lee. May your memory be a blessing.
