Florida’s so-called “permitless” carry law falls short of true constitutional carry. While politicians in Tallahassee stall, Governor Ron DeSantis has made it clear—he’s ready to sign Open Carry into law if the legislature sends it to his desk.

He’s not alone. Florida’s First Lady, Casey DeSantis, also supports Open Carry. The only thing standing in the way? A Republican-controlled legislature that refuses to act.

Now is the time to make our voices heard!

We encourage you to call House Speaker Daniel Perez (850-717-5116) and Senate President Ben Albritton (850-487-5027). Tell them Floridians demand Open Carry and won’t accept more delays.

The usual excuse from Republican leadership has been so-called “law enforcement opposition,” but that argument doesn’t hold up. Sheriff Wayne Ivey of Brevard County supports Open Carry, and so do most Florida sheriffs. The real resistance is coming from politicians who would rather cater to special interests than uphold the rights of the people.

Instead of advancing freedom, Republican leaders in the legislature have stalled bills, threatened lawmakers who push for Open Carry, and refused to give the issue the hearing it deserves. That’s not leadership—it’s obstruction.

Floridians deserve better. We deserve representatives who will stand for liberty, not hide from it.

Call Speaker Perez and President Albritton today. Tell them Floridians demand Open Carry. Tell them our rights are non-negotiable.
