Alleged "Drug Boats" in Venezuela are now being destroyed by the US military with no due process and no declaration of war from Congress

Many of us remember the lies we were told about Weapons of Mass Destruction in the early 2000s. The government’s propaganda machine kicks into gear whenever it wants to grab more power or convince the public to accept what it already planned to do. This isn’t new; it’s been that way since government began. It’s not about truth; it’s about control.

Secretary of State Colin Powell lying to the UN that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, February 5, 2003.
As we saw during COVID, the government loves using fear to get what it wants. Many people have since opened their eyes to the lies we were fed during the pandemic. And if they still haven’t, they should probably consider why we were given so much bad advice. There were treatments that could have saved many that were condemned so that vaccine manufacturers could get the Emergency Authorization Order they needed because “no other alternatives exist.” Gyms were closed and people were told to stay inside, when Vitamin D from sunlight alone would have done them a world of good. Children were forced to wear masks, leading to severe developmental issues. And according to VAERS, the COVID-19 vaccines were the most frequently reported vaccines in the system during the 2020-2023 period. But questioning any of the COVID narrative during the pandemic got you censored and/or even called a dangerous conspiracy theorist, and all the while, friends, families, and their loved ones were turned against one another.
Now, we’re watching the same propaganda playbook being used again, this time to stir up another regime-change war, this time with Venezuela. Here’s a fact that you may not be aware of if you rely on the legacy media for your news: fentanyl is not coming from Venezuela. The majority of the fentanyl entering the United States comes from Mexico. Yet politicians and pundits are lining up to frame Venezuela as the latest threat.
Why are Americans so quick and eager to believe the government’s stories about “drug boats” being blown up near Venezuela? We’ve been presented with zero credible evidence, and the people on those boats were murdered without due process. The two who survived one of the attacks weren’t even brought into custody; they were sent home. Doesn’t that strike anyone as strange? I’ve asked these questions on social media, and I’ve been accused of supporting drug dealers. But that’s the problem: questioning the government is still taboo, even when lives are taken and the rule of law is ignored. Strangely, it even continues when we’ve been warned that we’re being ruled over by an authoritarian who desperately wants to be King.
If Venezuela’s claims are even half true, it makes our government’s story even harder to believe; just yesterday, Venezuela announced it had captured mercenaries allegedly linked to the CIA who were allegedly planning a false flag attack in the Caribbean, near the waters of Trinidad and Tobago. The Venezuelan government compared it to two historical “triggers” that led to major wars: the explosion of the USS Maine and the Gulf of Tonkin incident. While we don’t know if this accusation is true, it certainly shows how easily governments can use shadow operations and manipulated events to justify war. We, as Americans and as taxpayers whose hard-earned money is used to fund these kinds of operations, deserve real evidence before another conflict begins in our name.
If our government truly believes Venezuela poses a threat, Congress should be forced to declare war openly with a recorded vote so that every member can be held accountable. No US president (or his war pig Secretary) should be able to quietly launch airstrikes or covert operations without congressional approval, especially against a nation that has not attacked us.
Meanwhile, the US national debt is spiraling toward $40 trillion. That’s $40,000,000,000,000—forty thousand billions or forty million millions. It’s a number so large that most people can’t even comprehend it. But what it means to us, dear reader, is simple: more inflation, higher grocery bills, higher gas prices, and less purchasing power for ordinary Americans.
We simply can’t afford another war. We can’t afford to keep feeding our defense industry’s insatiable appetite for taxpayer money. Libertarians know well that war and inflation are completely intertwined: war spending drives money printing, and inflation quietly robs citizens of their savings while enriching those closest to government power. War has become an economic policy, a racket that benefits defense contractors, shareholders, and political insiders while leaving the rest of us poorer. This is one of many reasons libertarians are so anti-war.
Donald Trump has said many times he would end the endless wars. But instead of pulling back, he appears to be handing the reins over to neocons like Marco Rubio, who’s been champing at the bit for regime-change operations in Latin America his entire political career. Rubio, the son of Cuban immigrants, seems determined to replay the Cold War for his own deranged legacy, and Trump is letting him.
Why Venezuela, you ask? Oil. Venezuela has some of the largest proven oil reserves in the world, even larger than Saudi Arabia’s. U.S. politicians have been salivating over that oil for decades, and every attempt at “regime change” in Venezuela has conveniently aligned with energy interests. It’s not about democracy or drugs, it’s about control and money. And it’s telling that both major parties seem so gosh darn comfortable with that pursuit.
What’s even more striking to me is how silent Democrat leaders have been about this. You would think that a party so eager to brand Trump as dangerous and evil would seize the easiest argument available: that he has authorized or funded military actions abroad without a declaration of war. They could so easily brand Trump a war criminal and demand war tribunals for what he’s done. Instead, Democratic leaders are thrilled to back more wars and more foreign intervention. Maybe it’s because, when it comes to foreign policy, both major parties agree there’s always money to be made in war.
If you’re not a libertarian and you’re feeling frustrated watching your party leaders march in lockstep toward more debt and more war, you’re not alone. There are still a few principled voices like Congressman Thomas Massie, who consistently defends liberty and fiscal sanity, but they’re outnumbered by career politicians who care more about their donors (and their own pockets) than their constituents.
So maybe it’s time for you to take a different path. If you’re not happy with your political party, please take a look at the Libertarian platform. It stands for peace, sound money, and real accountability; in other words, it’s the exact opposite of what we’re getting courtesy of Washington. Changing your registration sends the perfect message: that you refuse to be manipulated by fear, propaganda, or fake party loyalty.
Political elites and our government have lied us into too many wars, spent us into too much debt, stolen so much of our freedom with endless regulations, and divided us with too much fear and hatred. The only way to stop the cycle is to stop mindlessly believing them.
